* Vigilance In Abstaining From Sins

Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Quran '' Leave (all kinds of) sins, open and secret, verily those who commit a sin will get due recompense for that which they used to commit ''. (Al Ana'am 120).
The sweetness of Imaan cannot be felt while indulging in sins.

* Abstinence From All Paths Leading To Sins

Allah Ta'ala has warned us to stay well clear from the boundaries of Haraam. '' These are the limits (set) by Allah so approach them not ''. (Al Baqarah 187) *

* Firm Adherence To The Sunnah Of Rasulullah (S.A.W.)

Adhering firmly to the Sunnah of our beloved Rasulullah S.A.W. is a pre-condition for Allah Taala's love and closeness. This is very clearly mentioned in the Holy Quran '' Say (O Mohammed S.A.W.) If you love Allah then Follow me, Allah will love you. (Al imraan) *

THE IMPORTANCE OF LOVE FOR ALLAH

All praise is due to Allah, who deemed man worthy to be the foremost of His creation.
Allah states: We indeed created humanity in the best of forms. (95:4)

Allah, the Lord of the universe, plants the seed of His love in the heart of every human at the time of their birth. This is why every person is born in the original state [fitrah] of Islam.

A hadith states: Every baby is born on the fitrah of Islam.

It is this fitrah, rather than rational arguments that compels every person to believe in the existence of Allah and to worship Him alone.

Life is given in order to worship, Life without worship is shamefu

*

miirfan 12.04.12 - 08:22pm
If the inherent love for Allah was removed from humanity, nothing but would remain. Truly, nothing of worth exists in the temporary life of this world [dunya] other than love for Allah.

Only when love for Allah flourishes in the heart and captivates
The eyes does life itself become wondrous

The way of love is unlike all other ways,
The creed of lovers is distinct from all other creeds

*

Allah honors His servants with the verse: We have indeed honored mankind (17:70)
and
Allah adorns man with the verse: And We have preferred them over many others. (17:70)

Allah bestows honor and respect upon humanity due to its love for Him.

He who is the lover of the beauty of Allah Is the leader of all of creation. The crux of the beginning and end of life, its origin and destination, is love for Allah *

miirfan 12.04.12 - 08:37pm
Love is the beginning; love isthe end; love is everything, Love is the branch; love is the tree; love is the flower. Instead of sustaining and nourishing, infertile land causes a seed to erode and wither away. Similarly, rather than fostering love for Allah, an environment saturated in sin engulfs and stifles the heart in heedlessness and neglect. In a nurturing environment, the seed of Allah's love flourishes and blooms giving off a beautiful fragrance. In every virtuous environment, you will find that the awareness of Allah is the focus of people's lives.

One knows not the color and scent of this pleasant flower, That attracts every bird in the garden toward's it. So what if the enamored one is insane in the love of Allah?

Look and you shall find the whole world His admirer. Truly, the degree to which Allah has been sought; the zeal with which He has been loved; the extent to which He has been remembered; the yearning with which He has been invoked; the amount that He has been worshipped; and the fervor with which He has been admired and adored stands far above all else. No other entity in the universe bears comparison. All of creation loves Allah *

The human body is composed of limbs and organs, each with a unique trait: seeing is the trait of the eye; listening is the trait of the ear; and smelling is the trait of the nose. Similarly, loving is the trait of the heart; the heart is always in love with someone.
Be it with a stone, God, or anyone else, There comes not tranquility without loving.

The heart is the ocean of love; love is its act, Guard it a thousand ways; it will still fall in love. *

Remembrance (Zikr) of Allah is d best way to get closer to Allah and is the best of all deeds!

Should I not inform you about the best of your deeds, and the purest in the sight of Your Master (i.e. Allah), and that which will elevate you to the highest of ranks, and that which is better for you than the spending of gold and silver in charity, and that which is better for you than if you were to meet your enemies and strike their necks and they strike yours? (The Sahaabah(Ra) replied, 'Yes, indeed'. Rasulullah [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] said,) The Dhikr of Allah. (Tirmidhi)

So let us increase in our remembrance of Allah because if we remember Allah in a gathering then he will remember us in a better gathering and if we remember him in our hearts then he will remember us in Those hearts that do not remember Allah are devoid of peace and are dead. So, let us awaken our dead hearts with the remembrance of Allah!
For remembrance of Allah is the cure for all ailments of the heart! *

safi..r 28.04.12 - 05:48pm
u r right bro, the rememberence of allah is the best way or the best reason to clossnes with allah, *

Well, all i am saying that before closeness to Allah there comes love love2.GIF first and the one who will love Allah will automatically do dikr. Note:- i am not denying what you said...my point is first comes love and this love brings us close to our Allah... *

aijaz0 30.04.12 - 04:13pm
And we all know that Allah created certain attractive forces amongst His creation. When this attraction exists between 2 inanimate objects it is called magnetism, an example of which is gravity. And when it exists between two living beings it is called affection love2.GIF...... *

aijaz0 30.04.12 - 04:16pm
And i am not forgetting the famous Arabic proverb,
A being is attracted toward its own.
As this affection intensifies and grows it becomes muhabbah i mean love2.GIF and root of the word muhabbah is hubba , which translates to seed. A seed takes root when planted in the ground and is nourished by sunshine and rain, then fragrant flowers and fruits come forth. In the same way, when the seed of muhabbah is planted in the human heart, it starts to flourish and slowly encompasses the entire being.............. *

miirfan 30.04.12 - 07:57pm
exactly.GIFsafi..r

well said aijaz, just wanna add dat wit 'love' v must not forget abt his 'Fear' which is d second part/need of love . When both love and fear combines, it give fruitful results of being getting closer to Allah and d one who's really in need of getting closer to Allah wil automatically starts performing ''Nafil'' duties beside ''obligatory'' though obligatory duties r sufficient and on d day of resurrection once deeds r heavy due to his performance of Nafil duties *

aijaz0 2.05.12 - 02:12pm
Righ and also the taqwa is one of factor that brings us close to Allah and Once a person develops taqwa and has the fear of Allah in public and in secret, in the company of others, as well as in solitude, then he will pray.GIF insha Allah move closer towards Almighty Allah. *

miirfan 3.05.12 - 10:25pm
yes.GIFobviously, May Allah makes our hearts clear from pity and have affectionate love towards him and makes us closer to him with sincerity *

miirfan 3.05.12 - 10:26pm
A person usually falls in love for two reasons.

The first is when the beloved's essential being [dhat] and attributes [sifaat] are distinct and superior to all others. Such is Allah, who is perfect in every way and beyond any comparison. How beautiful and magnificent must the Creator of all the world's beauty be! It is only natural that a person is attracted to his Lord.

The second reason is when the beloved has authority and is involved in every aspect of one's life. Such is Allah, who at any moment can relieve one's grief or sorrow. This is the reason why everyone instinctively turns to Allah in times of distress.

At every instance of grief, comfort was found in Thee, At every turn, bewildered, I took Thy name. *

Ubayy ibn Ka'b Radhiyallahu 'anhu related that there was a man from among the Ansar whose home was the furthest from the center of Madina, but never missed a prayer with the Messenger Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. Ubayy Radhiyallahu 'anhu said, ''As we all felt compasion for the man, one day I said to him, ''Why don't you buy yourself a donkey and spare yourself the touble of walking among the reptiles and through the desert hurt?' His reply was, 'By Allah! Because I do not wish that my house should be any closer to the house of Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam.' I was so annoyed at the man's reply that I went to the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam and told him what the man had said. When the Messenger Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam called the man, he repated what he'd said before. But he added that he hoped to receive a reward in heaven for every step to and from the mosque. So the Messenger Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said to him, 'You will receive the reward you hope for.'' [Muslim] *

By Imam ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah
Taken from Madarij as-Saalikeen, Vol. 3, pp. 17 - 18

Imam Abu Abdullah, Shamsuddin Muhammad, ibn Abu Bakr, ibn Ayyub, ibn Sa'd, ibn Hurayz, al-Jawziyyah, al-Hanbali mentioned ten causes that result in Allah's love for His slave and the slave's love for his Lord. [These ten are:]

First, reciting the Quraan while pondering over its meanings and what is meant by it.

Second, getting closer to Allah by performing voluntary deeds after completing obligatory deeds. This is as is stated in a Hadeeth Qudsi: ''My slave continues getting closer to Me by performing voluntary deeds until I love him.'' [Bukhari]

Third, continual remembrance of Allah under all cir tances, with one's tongue, heart and actions. The extent of one's love of Allah is determined by this.

Fourth, giving precedence to what He loves over what you love when you are overtaken by your desires.

Fifth, the heart being avid of Allah's Names, and Attributes and the heart roaming in that garden of knowledge.

Sixth, observing Allah's kindness, goodness and bounties, both hidden and open.

Seventh, and this is the most wonderful, the heart being soft, subdued and meek before Allah.

Eighth, being alone with Allah during the time when the Lord descends during the last portion of the night while reading His Book and ending that by asking for forgiveness and repenting.

Ninth, sitting with the beloved and sincere, benefiting from the most fruitful of their speech. And not to speak unless speaking is more beneficial and you know that it will improve your state and be beneficial to others.

Tenth, remaining away from every cause that comes between the heart and Allah.

These ten causes take the lovers to the station of true love and bring them to their Beloved.

LOVE OF ALLAH TOWARDS HIS SERVANT
Abu Hurayra[Rz] said that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 3alyhiwasallam, said, Allah Almighty said, 'I have declared war on anyone who shows enmity to a friend of Mine. My slave does not draw near to Me with anything I love more than what I have made obligatory on him. And my slave continues to draw near to Me with superogatory actions until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. If he were to ask Me for something, I would give it to him. If he were to ask Me for refuge, I would give him refuge.' [Bukhari] *

Do we have Double Intentions this Ramadan?

As we fast approach the end of Ramadan we should reflect upon what we have achieved this Ramadan. Whatever good we have acquired then we must continue to implement it throughout the year and not just in Ramadan.
Unfortunately many of us have double intentions in our hearts. What i mean by double intentions is that many of us have the intention in our hearts just to stop bad habits and evil for the duration of Ramadan, but as soon as Ramadan is over then we intend to go back to our bad habits & evil ways.

Allah knows our intentions:
We must realise that Allah KNOWS us better than we know ourselves and he knows EXACTLY what we are thinking and what our intentions are deep in our hearts. So we must NOT think that we can gain mercy and forgiveness for all of our past and present sins and have all of our fasts and good deeds accepted when we have these double intentions in our hearts that we intend togo back to our old ways again straight after Ramadan.
So those of us who have such intentions should knowthat Allah knows exactly what is in our hearts and what we are intending. We may be able to hide it from others but we cannot hide anything from Allah. How canwe think our fasts & good deeds throughout Ramadan will be accepted by having such intentions in our hearts? Those of us who have such intentions are just wasting their time and effort because we cannot expect acceptance of good deeds when we intend in our hearts to go back the our evil ways.
By having such intentions we are in effect throwing away our fasts and good deeds and instead of gaining anything from Ramadan we will be more worse off than before. Surely this will be a source of HUGE regret in the Hereafter.

Some only gain hunger from fasting and sleeplesness from praying all night:
The Prophet (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:
Perhaps a fasting person will gain nothing from his fast except hunger, and perhaps the one who stands to pray at night will gain nothing from his standing except sleeplessness.(Ibn Majah)
How unfortunate is such a person who fasted the whole month and made so much effort praying in the nights when all along he had other intentions in his heart and has wasted all of his good deeds and gains nothing from them except hunger, thirst and tiredness.
Its not too late to change our intentions
It is not too late to redeem ourselves. We CAN still change our intentions if we want our fasts and good deeds to be accepted. We can still change our intentions if we want Allah's mercy and forgiveness for ALL of our sins. We can still change our intentions if we want to get closer to Allah. And we can still change our intentions if we want to be successful in this world andthe next.

Therefore we must abadndon these double intentions. We must NEVER intend to go back to our evil ways and bad habits that we had before Ramadan. We must continue to implement and build upon the good we acquired throughout Ramadan and continue to try to become better Muslims. We must make effort on our imaan so that we may get closer to Allah and only then will we realise why we are here and the purpose of our life so that we may make the necessery changes to ourselves so that we may fulfill that purpose to the best of our ability.
Our daily lives are FULL of distractions so we must keep reminding ourselves that we are not in this world for our own pleasures. That we are not here to live for this world but that we are here to prepare for the hereafter which is our eternal abode. We are just travellers here on a journey to the hereafter which is our ultimate and final destination.
